Hi - your blog made me laugh out loud. No small feat on rainy Sunday morning when nothing but boring housework and grocery shopping beckons. Fantastic photos and how creepy are some peoples houses. Though when I'm gone, will someone be rummaging through my place going 'Oh my God! Look at this!!'?
Best wishes Valerie

I must be old. I can remember buying Janitor in a Drum new at the grocery.

I have that same ugly tote bag. Lower left corner, right? Mine is a donation gift from the National Federation of the Blind. Sweet irony of life. I will give it points for being impossible to destroy. I have carried rocks, bricks, firewood, pinecones and library books. It has been on several vacations and many Girl Scout outdoor events. It still looks just like it did the day it was born.

The devil's tote bag will outlive us all.

I didn't either (didn't really go near that stuff) but I have to confess that when looking at the photo later, I noticed that and wondered what the hell it was. Thanks for clearing that up! I wonder how they fit a whole janitor in there.

We used to get Trader Vic's grenadine in that same bottle when I was a kid in the '70s. I used to use it to make my Roy Rogers. Funny I never noticed the pretty girl on the bottle. I guess I wasn't interested yet.

I had a strainer and wooden "smasher" like that from my grandmother (there was also a metal stand with it). I think it was used to de-seed berries for jam. I have kicked myself many times over for giving it to goodwill . . .

It was too gross and to carry it around was just too much. If I could have had a plastic bag to toss it into, no problem. That was nice the case...
