i was just at the goodwill at 8th and 65th and there was a whole display of little debbie snack cakes, and i totally thought to myself, “WTF? goodwill doesn’t sell FOOD.” i guess they do now, but i agree with you that it just doesn’t seem right…

I wasn’t in AZ on the correct days… Thanksgiving and the next day wasn’t the best day for estate sales, but thanks for the tip.

Oh! I forgot to mention. I once took my boyfriend to the estate sales and in one house there was an old man buying powdered mashed potatoes in a box there for a quarter. I mean really? My boyfriend and I thought that was the funniest and most bizarre thing!

LOL! I heart your AZ comments. Too funny and so true! However, you were in the right area for vintage stuff. I live in AZ and if you ever go back, go to the estate sales only- they are the best on Thursday and Friday. That’s where I get the majority of my vintage items. That Goodwill is hit or miss. I once found a serger there for $12 and it’s in fab condition!

Y’know, there’s something extremely icky about selling food in the same aisle you’re selling used clothing. To me, it’s got the same gross-out factor as the Summer’s Eve. Eeewww.
