Seattle has a 2nd saturdy sale at the Sand Point complex. Its more of anshabby chic antiques show but still lots of fun stuff...more for profit...we dealers need to make a living.
I would love to see a regular local flea market in the area. There is the Thurston County Flea in Lacey at the fairgrounds. Its a small gathering once a month with great stuff at great prices. Anyone else know of anything????

[...] Though I’m not saying we’ve ever had items like these in one of our sales … then again, I can’t promise we haven’t. (To be honest, I can’t even remember all the oddball stuff that we have put through the yard sale catch and release program.) [...]

Wow.

Reading this blog makes me feel like our yard sale this weekend is kind of puny.

We definitely don't have boxes of decades-old coffee in our basement, or X-file videos, or books on how to grow marijuana indoors.

The best yard sale I had was in Ireland: we took a houseful of reusable items to a market called First Friday, setting up a table along with a bunch of other people selling everything from Turkish rugs to ferns. I wish Seattle had something like that.

Maybe you guys could make it happen?

Thanks for the blog.

[...] Meghan tried on a pair of Camper shoes that were sort of abstract (as Campers tend to be), but kinda cool. They fit so well that she just kept them on for the rest of the day. (Yes, she did pay the seller first!) She also got a ton of magazines, a nice wicker storage box, a dress, and a book from the ’60s whose title made our jaws drop: Crafts For Retarded. I grabbed a bunch of odds and ends from the free box and purchased a stack of about 30 patches that said “HOOT” on them – $1 for all. I figured I’d use a few here and there, then you know the rest are headed for the yard sale catch and release program. [...]
